Suspects, mostly old but one new, gathered in the obvious place to do the obvious thing. We are creatures of habit.

G70, bottled by Harvey’s, brought DRT, ☦ Russian cross: decanted 07:30. Dark red, 70% opaque. Nose of red cherry. Taste soft, with mint. Full bodied. Mint very strong, and heat mid-palate. Fine port.

Bottled by Harvey's. Mid red colour; 50% opaque. Hollow nose, with some lifted tones that come over as slight VA but is still moderately attractive. Medium-bodied on the palate, with plenty of flavours that develop well. Dry, black chocolate tannins over luscious (but one-dimensional) fruit that sits in a slightly watery texture. Tannisn become dry but acidity provides some focus. There is a good dose of acidity on the palate, a good volume finish and a great length. 85/100.
