Cs94. Like most of the 94s present, purple-red, 80% opaque. Nose had grapes, perhaps red. Palate very smooth, light, and on the edge of maturity. Good Port, but lighter than ideal.

75% opacity, red (!). Hints of chocolate and caramel on the nose. Acidity dominated, but smooth nonetheless, finish tending to dry. Lacked structure somewhat.

Raisiny and slightly burnt on the palate with a hollow finish.

Decanted at 3 pm (drunk from around 4.30 pm onwards). 75%, plum juice colour with a minor pinkness. Nose has tight plums, quite quiet, not really huge. Flowery but bearing an essence of Lockets: very slightly honeyish. Mouth is rather dull and jammish. Not much finish.

Deep red, opaque centre with a narrow rim - looking to be in early maturity. Grass mixed with fruit on the nose and a slightly salty harsh streak, but very light. Sour fruit on impact, lots of cranberry and a twist of sugar cinders. The fruit is soft and caramelised, but wih lovely dry tannins giving good support. Harsh aftertaste with the acidity burning, but this fades quickly to leave a pleasant and modestly mouth-filling finish of good length. Medium-bodied, good mid-rank port. 85/100. Decanted 4 hours.
