Tasted at the Ferreira lodge on the 2nd of March 2014: dark as ink, in the nose there is rich and sweet blackberry, in the background also a little eucalyptus and raspberry, a more lightweight body, in terms of sweetness a standard port (i.e. not overly sweet nor dry), in the mouth acidity and raspberry, in the aftertaste there is acidity that tingles on the tongue and raspberry that lingers in the mouth after swallowing the port, the finish is not that long (only about 20 seconds), quite a nice port, but not in the Premier League as the '99 Bomfim or Silval
