2000 Quinta do Noval Silval

After having had the Nacional and the Noval from 2000 for quite some times, I just collected a case of Silval 2000 from auction and opened a bottle.
This really surprised me as - even the third day open - this Port is well on track. Dark red colour. Deep, full bouquet with violets, coffee, chocolate and a red-berry mix. The palate offers soft tannins and a well balanced structure. Not one of the greatest 2000 (as these places are left for the two brothers named beforehand), but an amazing price-value relationship as most Silvals. 17/20
