30% opacity lovely orange brown, great legs. Not much on the nose, some caramel? Wonderful structure, velvety, fruit from start to mid, oranges. Heat builds a little at the end to a very graceful finish and a long aftertaste.

+1hrs: in the nose, caramel for sure.

G66. Glorious red, 60% opaque. Nose of great berries — blackcurrant? Or was I tasting the label? Palate thick and sticky. Rich sweetness. But fruit has faded. Heat mid- and late-palate.

Mature red appearance, 30% opaque and a bricking edge. Soft on the nose, but attractive and with soft, sweet preserved fruit that comes across as very attractive. Sweet and very well balanced on the palate with good concentration and lovely thickness. Great fruit and delicious acidity combine to give a great palate. The aftertaste has terrific concentration and immense brown sugar / bitter orange marmalade of tremendous length that has a sudden burst of sweetness at the end. This is very, very fine port. 94/100. Pop 'n' pour.

This was a deep, translucent ochre. It was lightly varnishy on the nose, with not much else. Nice in the mid-palate, lightly fruity, some chewy jellied fruit, rather pleasantly dry but dies off.
