30% opacity, rusty brown, some sediment. Hint of vanilla on the nose. Very nice, marmalade and sweetness, great structure and a lovely long finish.

Deep brick red, 40% opaque. Faint nose, just showing a little stewed rhubarb. Concentrated entry, powerful fruit with great complexity - really very fine balance, sweet and intense with good acidity but there is an unusual mid-palate bitterness. A big acidity that gives a lovely balance. A massive aftertaste and an immensely long finish. Wow! 92/100. Decanted 7½ hours.

Very deep ochre, no pink at the core. A tiny bit of varnish on the nose, some mint or rosemary, and some heat when it's worked in the glass. In the mouth, I noted school desk; a little dull, a little muted.
