25% opacity, golden toffee colour. Nose: toffee and toffee. In the mouth, like licking a toffee apple :)

Ni66 colheita bot. 1985[/b]. Palate had set honey and flowers. Lovely wood-aged port, and much superior to the Souza.

Bottled 1985. Deep honey brown colour, pale straw rim. A touch of VA and a distinct colheita nose with sharp acidity that cuts through. Thick in texture, bringing lots of deep honey and figs. Powerful pomelo acidity that is very distinct - almost eye watering - on the aftertaste. Lots of sour citrus zest on the finish; lovely complexity on the great length finish. 89/100. Decanted 8 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
