Wednesday 23rd April 2014, the day before the BFT, the day after A Flight of 1966, and the same day as a vertical of Sandeman arranged by Stevens Garnier (busy week), folks gathered in The Bung Hole for 1960 versus 1963.

20% opacity orange brown. Sweet caramel nose, strawberry behind, but a bit stinky, rubbery. Sweet entry, caramel with a spirituous finish, not much heat, nicely smooth all the way. incorrectly guessed to be S60.

Mid-orange, <10% opaque. Slightly smelly nose with gentle undertones. Soft and sweet entry, then lots of dry tannins and a slight bitterness under the sweet rosehip fruit. The fruit is very light, sweet and with acidic structure. Sharp acidity creates a brief burn on the aftertaste before a lovely, lingering sweetened cranberry finish of great length. 86/100.
