With SushiNorth in London a few of us braved the tube strike to meet in the Bung Hole, the chosen theme being ‘Crazy 8s’.

DB78 — though on the placemats, erroneously, as “D78” — and decanted 18:00. glorious red, 50% opaque. Charming nose with red cherries. Palate starts dry, with the same cherries, but ending sweet. Nice fruit. Nice structure. Lovely port, even though simpler than grade-A.
