Tasting note written after consuming half the bottle. Beautiful mature colour, brick red and around 40% opaque. Gorgeaous nose, balancing perfectly fruit with Golden Syrup. Smooth entry, medium texture - not too thick but not watery. Lots of mace spice on the fruit and a surprising amount of vigorous tannin still on the palate. Typical Graham sweetness to the fruit, but with a huge dose of acidity giving a balance to the sweetness. Lingering aftertaste of bitter cranberry and white grapefruit flesh. Very enjoyable port. 89/100. Drunk 19-Apr-14. Decanted 2½ hours.
