Pale bronze, very light; 5% opaque. Restrained nose of sweetened cranberries. Lightweight entry with fierce acidity and harsh overtones to the fruit - perhaps a hint of stink? The palate is dominated by the powerful bitter cranberry. There is a big burst of heat on the aftertaste, followed by a modest finish of the familiar cranberry that lasts well. A pleasant port from a very unusual vintage. 85/100. Drunk 23-Apr-14.
