2009 Krohn LBV

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled unfiltered in 2013; 21,880 bottles produced. Magenta in colour, opaque. Lovely nose, mixing generous fruit and floral elements. Powerful, attractive and youthful. Sweet and fruity on the palate with a nice texture. Big, ripe tannins on the mid-palate supporting really nice fruit. A lovely long finish. An attractive, easy to drink LBV that will happily cellar for 5 years. 87/100. Drunk 24-Apr-14 at BFT5.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
