2008 Offley Forrester LBV
Bottled 2013. Gently perfumed nose; subdued sour cherries. Gentle entry, balanced with plenty of fruit but punishing tannins. Despite the tannins this is surprisingly light-bodied in style. The perfumed fruit comes late on the palate. Dry gripping tannins dominate the aftertaste. Modest in style but will cellar happily. 85/100. Drunk 24-Apr-14 at BFT5.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
