2011 Rozes

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

An interesting and unusual maroon/pink colour with a thin transparent rim. Lovely on the nose, very open and inviting. Initially the fruit dominates the palate with a lovely sweetness and then big tannins come through but don’t detract from the fruit. The tannins provide a nice structure. This is a very nice mid-quality port. 88-90/100. Drunk 24-Apr-14 at BFT5.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
