Deep red, opaque. Reductive nose, rather smelly. Neutral entry, surprisingly hollow. Lacking fruit but with huge tannins. The huge (ripe) tannins run through the aftertaste and finish and have immense length. Fruit comes late, but rewards time in the glass to give a totally different impression after a few minutes when the tannic skeleton remains but is now clothed in delicious fruit. 91/100. Drunk 24-Apr-14 at BFT5.
