1995 Quinta de Roriz

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Deep red in colour, 95% opaque. Soft blackcurrants on the nose, attractive and straightforward. Nice texture on the palate, lovely balance and poise. Plenty of rich blackcurrant fruit, very soft tannins and just the right dose of acidity. Big flavours on the late palate; really fine. Big, fruity aftertaste and terrific finish. Lovely length of ripe blackcurrant. Lovely drinking today. 90/100. Drunk 01-May-14. Decanted 1 hour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
