1948 Taylor

T48, half bottle, bought by THRA as unknown.
Glorious red, 30% opaque. Soon after decanting nose muted, but over time became slightly rubbery. The palate though, was fantastic. Quite dry, bright red cherry, very soft, full-bodied long mature VP. Thank you Tom.
Wolfgang adds: green coffee beans, coffee-ish bitter aftertaste. Very good. “This is actually a sobering-up Port.”
Tom: soft, old-style Taylor, beast absent. Not shabby for £15.
