1940 Cálem Colheita
This was the colour of a conker. Clean nose, woody and resinous. "Wow", I wrote. This has what I call school desk (wood and acid with very light VA), some heat, a taut toasty finish with no puckering; soft tannins and good acid. I liked it.
Tasted at the Sogevinus Colheita tasting at the BFT, 24th April 2014.
