2005 Vesuvio

The 2005 Vesuvio Vintage Port does posses all the good stuff, which is needed for a good VP at this stage: a deep black colour with violet reflections and a very good structure. The nose is a fruit bomb (just like the 2003 was two years ago) with very intensive Cassis and black currant notes. On the palate full, fruity with alcohol and tannins present. Long aftertaste. Maybe not as intense and deep as the 2003 was at this stage.
