Travel sample bottle, courtesy of DRT. Deep and intense red colour with bricking throughout; 90% opaque. Fresh and light on the nose, full of sea salt, plum juice and fresh lemons. A lovely balance and texture on the palate; a slight stewiness to the fruit at first but becomes intense and complex. Nice elegance with poised acidity providing a counterpoint to the fruit - a lovely balance. Big and peppery aftertaste and finish, tremendous length. Not as sweet and concentrated as normal but with a huge palate presence - albeit rather a bitter one. 89/100. Drunk 23-Jun-14. Decanted 18 hours
