Mature red in colour, mild rose rim; 40% opaque. Muted nose of soft, sweet jelly but with a fierce acidic streak that promises some balance. Soft at first in the mouth, very sweet and slighly flabby until the structure and focus comes through. Blatantly fruity and floral and very attractive. Soft and pleasant aftertaste that is full of sticky fruit. Lovely sweet fruit finish of great length. Served blind this was guessed to be Sandeman 1985 and was astonished to find it was Taylor 1970 - it did not have the usual structure found in T70. 88/100. Drunk 29-Jul-14. 11½ hours double decanted.

Decanted 12 hours. 40% opacity, red-brown. Strawberry nose but a bit musty. Short from start to finish, fruity sweet with a tannic finish.
Disappointing showing from this specimen of T70. Not what it ought to have been.
