Sealed with a cork branded ""Calem Vintage 1977 Quinta do Foz"", bottled by the Wine Society.

Deep burnished red, 70% opaque. Slight VA on the nose of fresh crushed herbs. Good density on the palate, but the palate is marred by the VA. Under the VA is mature fruit and dark chocolate. Very hot on the aftertaste, burning the throat, which slowly fades to give a gentle green coffee finish. Pleasant port, but there are many better bottles. 83/100. Drunk 16-Aug-14. Decanted 3 hours.
