Out of a half bottle:

Decanted 5 hrs in advance. Very nice red colour. Slight traces of age, but very much in limit.

The nose showed a fruity layer of red berries (rasberry) whilst the structure appears to be fairly thin. Slight bottle stink. On the palate overwhelming alcohol which kills any other flavour that wants to break through. You can imagine fruit is there but can't get through. Average aftertaste. Tried a glass and left the rest in the decanter.

Decanted 15-16 hrs: A different wine, went a slight bit darker. The bottle stink totally disappeared. The nose showes off with delicious rasberry and tobacco notes. In the mouth this wine is a pleaser, the alcohol has integrated much better though still being present. Rasberry and cassis notes. Medium long aftertaste.

This is a very delicious, but not too concentrated port.

After 27hrs in the decanter: almost no change. This wine holds very stable its performance. No sign of weakness!

Having just ordered 10 at staggeringly good prices, this pleases me no end.

A very solid bottle indeed...I do like this one.
