From a half bottle that was a gift from ADV. Deep and red in colour, still opaque but showing signs of maturity. Soft and subdued nose, but a wonderful palate presence and impact. Big and rich fruitiness combined as if drinking a Dundee fruitcake. Hints of spices and nutmeg, integrated and merged dried fruits. Great palate; there are still tannins but they are round and mellow. There is a very slight earthiness to the palate, but this is lovely drinking and should remain so for the next 20 years. 88/100. Drunk 07-Sep-14. Decanted 2 hours.

Thank you Andy - you gave this to me 6 years ago almost to the day.

Hi

Bought a case of those. the first 2 bottles gave me the impression, that these were closed Down for a time. Much more welcomming and pleasant the day after.

Having them on a tasting tonight, and will try to decant them 5 hours before the tasting.
