At the request of Glenn E., passing through London on the way to Porto, an evening of port tasting with the theme "Variety is the Spice of Life". With TBH closed for refurbishment, this was held at Davy’s at Woolgate Bar and Brasserie where we were looked after very well.

1985 Graham
Re: 1985 Graham
75% opacity, dark red. Not much nose, strawberry, menthol. Young, fruity, bit of acidity, bit tannic at the end. Just not quite integrated. Wasn't really greatly impressed with this.
Re: 1985 Graham
quite dark, slightly darker than the other '85s, in the nose there is eucalyptus, but not as prominent as in the T85, there is also a little bit of varnish (?) in the background, in my opinion the nicest nose of all the three big '85s, in the mouth it's kind of dull, there is a nice aftertaste with pepper, somehow this reminded my of a good reserve ruby and not of a VP by a major port house. I was somehow disappointed by this wine.
