RP24, decanted 18:15. Red-orange, 20% opaque. A meaty nose, slightly rotten. Hmm. Palate thin and acidic. Alas not a good bottle.

Decanted 45 mins. 15% opacity, slightly cloudy burnt orange, clear pale yellow rim. somewhat dirty nose, bit agricultural. Thick and gloopy in the mouth, then quite a sharp abrupt finish. Drinkable but not outstanding.

Mid chestnut, about 10%. Slightly dirty nose; some fire. Lovely soft entry, but becoming harsh.

From a 65cl bottle. Amber colour with a red core, 25% opaque. Sweet redcurrant jelly on the nose, very fresh. This has a nice texture on the palate but the port is bitter and unpleasant, reminding the drinker of bitter and mouldy oranges that deliver an unclean taste. A burst of acidity comes through on the aftertaste, but the finish is bitter and relatively short. 82/100. Drunk 21-Oct-14. Decanted 1½ hours.
