This bottle has been to the Far East and back, as evidenced by the neck label.

The cork was raised about 3mm inside a lead capsule and slightly leaky.
The short cork came out easily in one piece. Decanted cleanly of surprisingly little sediment. Dark, slightly browning, ruby red. Younger appearance than I would expect from a 29 year old SQVP. The nose is quite dull with some pepper but little fruit. No spirit, which surprised me for Taylor. Mouthfeel is thick and chewy and fills the mouth with dark chocolate cherry truffle. A long mouthwatering finish which develops a satisfying warmth at the end.

This is very, very nice wine to drink now which is only slightly let down by the nose. Thanks Tom
