1964 Krohn White Colheita

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Golden yellow colour with a gentle nose of VA and nutskins. Lovely entry, balanced but full of fresh flavours of bitter grapefruit and subtle sweetness. A lovely marzipan / elderflower aftertaste and a tremendous lingering finish with lots of sweet fig. Really lovely. Served on the recommendation of Beatriz Machado, Wine Director at the Yeatman. 93/100. Drunk 26-Sep-14. Decant time N/K.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
