A lovely deep chestnut colour. Big and powerful on the nose with VA and mandarins strong enough to make the mouth water. Thick and unctuous texture with rich treacle sweetness cut by a powerful lime acidity that brings balance. A lovely mouthfeel leads to a delicious treacle and apricot finish. Tasty, but very different in style to the elegance of the 1964 white. Chosen by Beatriz Machado, Wine Director of the Yeatman. 92/100. Drunk 26-Sep-14. Decant N/K.
