1,000 bottles produced. Intense red colour, opaque; slightly more intense than the regular Tedo. Slightly cheesy nose (could this be the brandy that was used? A locally produced brandy was used to fortify the must). Restrained entry, surprisingly neutral. The levels of fruit build up slowly but the tannins are very powerful and gripping - a touch harsh but well balanced none the less. By the late palate the fruit levels are good and support the powerful tannin. Ripe tannins dominate the aftertaste and lead to a long chewy finish. Great port, but an odd nose. 91/100. Drunk 24-Sep-14. Pop 'n' pour.
