1991 Gould Campbell

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Deep red colour, opaque. Pleasant fruity nose, slightly jammy. Sweet, jammy fruit on the palate, low in acidity and with very soft tannins. Pleasant and lingering fruit driven aftertaste. This is intensely fruity but lacks the structure needed to balance the sweet and jammy fruit - very pleasant but easy drinking and similar to a top quality Ruby Reserve or LBV. 86/100. Drunk 16-Sep-14. Decanted 24 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
