Label and cork show 'Warre Vintge Port 1955 late bottled in 1959'. Not an Oporto Bottling, according to Phil (who asked Dominic Symington).

Light to medium chestnut in colour. A nose of bitter oranges. Medium to full bodied, sweet smooth entry, some lovely light caramel, a toffeeish finish.

Bottled in 1959. Mid red colour with a pale rose rim. Sweet and fruity on the nose, with delicate and nuanced fruit that is full of floral complexity. Sweet fruit on entry that builds up nicely to delivery a lovely experience of mid-weight sweet fruit with balancing acidity but also just a touch of harshness. Some empty heat on the aftertaste; peppery finish and a late concentration of flavour. 89/100.
