Cork gave the letters 'VINT'.

Light chestnut in colour, no really discernible nose but perhaps little wood. The mouth gave some heat, wood, currants, a lot of dryness and some heat at the finish.

Bottled by Hicks & Co of Plymouth, shipper unknown but vintage confirmed by wax seal. Honey orange in colour. Dusty nose, full of wood ash and oranges. Luscious in the mouth, thick texture with focused acidity but with full and powerful flavours of bitter grapefruit sweetened with treacle. Peppery and flavoursome aftertaste with a huge length of bitter citrus marmalade. Really very good port still going strong. 88/100.
