Some friends gathered in
The Boot and Flogger on Redcross Way, SE1, as part of our quest to find a new home. We had an excellent evening, mainly drinking from the Davy's wine list.

Really dodgy-looking laserprinted label. This was from the cellar of the Rudy Kurwinian of port, DRT. (That is not true; this was a genuine bottle.)
Decanted two days before the tasting.
Dark cherry, a nose of jellied fruit, fine and delicate - cedar and wood shavings in cigar boxes. Soft entry, jellied. Tasty, very soft finish.
I notice that my ranking is now Dow 1970. Thank you.

40% opacity, forgot to note colour (mainly because the light at the table was poor). Lively nose, strawberry. Full, syrupy mouthfeel with a nice soft and gentle feel. Lots of alcohol. Get the sense this could do with another 5-10 years to hit the peak. Thanks to Derek for bring this to share.

Dark red, bricking rim; 50% opaque. Lovely nose, a bit dusty and a touch of spirit although this settled down later to be nutskins. Sweet, elegant entry bringing a wonderful balance with great levels of mature fruit layered thickly over some dry tannins; good fragrance. Hot - very hot - aftertaste then a fine and flavoursome finish which goes through several phases of flavour. Good port, but with plenty of tannin and life ahead of it. 90/100.
