Some friends gathered in The Boot and Flogger on Redcross Way, SE1, as part of our quest to find a new home. We had an excellent evening, mainly drinking from the Davy's wine list.

Decanted 7 hrs. 70% opacity, deep red. Muted nose - tobacco, leather. A little thin, not much grip but some tannin at the finish.

Bought from the list of the Boot & Flogger. Deep red, firm in colour; 80% opaque. Dry nose, slightly harsh with floral but sour. Sweet fruit on entry, soft strawberry and bubblegum but with a nice minty freshness in the mid-palate. The tannins are mostly integrated and dry, the palate is fresh and balanced. The balance continues to the aftertaste and leads to a fresh finish full of delicious chocolate and raspberry. This port has plenty of life ahead of it yet. 88/100.
