Some friends gathered in The Boot and Flogger on Redcross Way, SE1, as part of our quest to find a new home. We had an excellent evening, mainly drinking from the Davy's wine list.

Offley 1977 (B&F)
Noval 1966 (B&F)
Dow 1970 (DRT)
Churchill 1994 (B&F)
Warre 1970 (B&F)

Sorry, I took no note of this wine (the last of the night).

Purchased from the list of the Boot & Flogger. Bottled by Percy Fox of SW1. Mature red appearance, a lovely brick-red; 60% opaque. Very dusty nose, slightly funky - possibly a very slight TCA. Soft and sweet on the subtle entry; lots of green leaves and sharp currants with hints of dry, green wood. Dry aftertaste, long dry finish. A decent bottle but tainted by TCA, fortunately drunk quickly enough after opening to prevent the TCA from making the port undrinkable. 87/100.
