W70, decanted 07:30. Dark red, 60% opaque. Early palate rich, with some heat. Mid-palate slightly hollow (for which reason I preferred the Ck70. Good mature Port; very soft and lovely drinking.

Delicious colour, deep red with a slightly paler rim; 70% opaque. A touch empty on the nose at first, but patience allows a very attractive hedgerow fruit and purple damson to develop. Lively and fresh entry, lots of fresh and acidic fruit all combined into a typical Warre elegance and balance to the fresh body of this port. Lovely, lifted, fragrant flavours on the aftertaste. A really fine example of the elegance of mature Warre. 94/100.
