**sigh**

A bowl of freshly roasted salted almonds still hot from the oven and a half bottle of Croft '63. Life is good.

I liked it. Better than blah blah, oranges, blah long finish, blah spiritous, drink soon. I was told a story, I pictured a scene. I felt comforted that whatever affliction and disaster was in the world there is still a corner of Berkshire that is forever England.

The blah blah tasting note has been written, just not posted. For now I am wallowing in the last few remaining mellifluous vestiges of this rose coloured nectar. Then it is off to meet the Sandman for me.

At least in my region... 1963 Croft is most easy to find bottle of the vintage. They must've made a sh**load that vintage. Same for '70 Croft. I think also that Croft was a much more popular brand back then, compared to now.

I see a few whole cases retail over here too at the moment, no halves though. The 1970 is one that you used to see everywhere but it is not quite so common these days. I'm very fond of Croft.

Back in 2007 / 2008, wasn't there a UK retailer who had something like 70+ cases of Croft 63 on its lists?!

Yes. I think it was Wylie Fine Wines.
