Cr63 (‘$’). Mid-red, 30% opaque. Palate of lovely red fruit, mostly raspberry. Mature. Slightly hot. Lovely mature port.

Mature appearance, modest colour; 50% opaque. Slightly earthy on the nose, with some redcurrant and cranberry. Not particularly attractive but perhaps suffering from having been opened only a short time before being consumed. Smooth but light on the palate, fragrant and elegant. Air adds to the delicacy and fragrance of the port. Hot aftertaste, but brings a lingering and fragrant cranberry finish. Good length. Served blind that was guessed to be Warre 1970. 91/100. Decanted 45 minutes.
