Ck70 (IDJ), decanted 23:00 the previous day. Dark red, 50% opaque. Palate of red cherry and raspberry. Mid weight. Soft. A hint of late bitterness. RDA claimed that it nosed of “mouse” — musine olfactory experience not previous having been recorded at a port tasting.

(From IDJ). Deep red, really dark in colour; 80% opaque. Slightly smelly on the nose, a touch of antiseptic over some red fruit. Sweet but balanced on entry with a lovely fragrance to the fruit. Big, bold and brash structure with powerful acidity, softer tannins and a lot of fruit. A wonderful burst of fragrance on the aftertaste and then a huge finish. This is still very youthful. Served blind this was guessed to be Fonseca 1977. 94/100. Decanted 20 hours.
