NV Cockburn Special Reserve

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

New bottle, revised blend. Ruby centre and a lighter rim, youthful looking. Soft and gentle raspberry flvoured nose which reveals a slight harhness on the nose when swirled. Soft fruity entry, a delicious strawberry at first and then wonderful refined tannins that deliver such an elegant palate. Gentle, refined and with a long bubble-gum finish. This is a lovely ruby port. 88/100. Tasted 24-Feb-15.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
