1969 Graham Single Harvest Tawny

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Caramel in colour but with a green tinge on the rim, 30% opaque. A huge nose of VA and almonds. Thickly textured on the palate, sweet and honeyed. On the mid-palate comes a mandarin acidity that adds a nice complexity. Great balance on the palate. A warm aftertaste and a finish that positively glows with acacia honey and lasts for so long before a slightly sticky finish. Great port. 94/100. Tasted 24-Feb-15.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
