RV66 (TC). Orange-red, 30% opaque. fully mature oleaginous Port—a texture I really like. Some heat. Fully mature; thought to be ’70ish.

20% opacity, brown-orange, particulated, cloudy. Quite a sharp sulphurous nose. in the mouth, quick to an acidic heat, orange undertones. Guessed to be RP55.

Copper red in colour with a light rim; 40% opaque. Slightly smelly nose, some fruit but muted. Nice texture, acidic and with a powerful mid-palate with surprising tannins. Baked fruit on the finish and with long and dry biscuity tannins. Served blind this was guessed to be Ferreira 1960. 85/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
