Fd85 (MPM). Red, 70% opaque. Nose had a slight stink. Mid weight- heat, but this Port slightly unbalanced. Pleasant drinking Port, but not quite right.

50% opacity, cloudy. Slightly dirty nose. Light in the mouth, some spice, faint hints of red fruit, not much finish.

Disappointing given the delight provided by the first bottle from this stash.

Mature red appearance with a soft rose coloured rim. Slightly smelly on the nose, smelling of boiled rhubarb. Some burnt match heads on the palate, which is surprisingly dry with tannins and stewed fruit - the tannins being unexpectedly fierce. Big and chewy on the aftertaste with stewed sour fruit on the finish, the end of which is dominated by the tannins. Rather unbalanced but nevertheless perfectly enjoyable. Served blind this was guessed to be OBV 1977. 85/100.
