Dalva 66 colheita (JWEW). Orange-brown, 20% opaque. Nose had a slight bottle stink. Palate burnt — like a burnt orange marmalade.

20% opacity, orange brown, rim of tobacco yellow. Wonderful aromas on the nose, wood, cedar, some caramel. In the mouth, like all the other colheitas I've tasted :D Guessed to be Niepoort Colheita 1962.

Butterscotch brown, with just a hint of green on the rim; 30% opaque. A touch of VA on the nose, distinctly colheita or tawny, but quite rich and full of citrus and rock rose. A nice, thick texture and hints of coffee at first and then a wonderful concentrated grapefruit and orange zest. There is powerful acidity on the late palate which keeps a lovely balance. Intense and mouthwatering on the aftertaste before a long finish when the coffee and crepe suzette flavours return. Served blind this was guessed to be Niepoort 1976 colheita. 88/100.
