2012 Rozes Terras do GriFo

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

From Rozes. Scarlet in colour, opaque. Fragrant and lively nose, herbaceous and fruity. Smooth at first but then powerful tannins flood the palate and dominate over the attractive and elegant fruit. This has good balance and focus on the palate. Delicious aftertaste with a touch of cracked pepper heat from the alcohol. This is serious port for the long term. 93-95/100. Tasted 05-Mar-15.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
