I remembered being fairly impressed with this when tasted about 10 year ago (see here, so decided to try one as it's one of the few ports that's half affordable here.

Lost a good amount of its colour in the 10 years since we last met, as well as a good deal of its stuffing. Rather old fruit (dried figs, raisins, prunes), integrated, soft tannins, treacly sweet and very one-dimensional. Short finish with a bitter streak. The (raisined) fruit flavours are pretty nice, but otherwise there isn't much to enjoy. 80 points.

The loss of colour, one-dimensional character and high sugar level make me think there could be a high percentage of Tinta Barroca used in this port, but I haven't been able to find information on that. I would be grateful if anyone has any info to share.
