Deep red, a surprising amount of bricking with a narrow rim and an opaque centre. Stewed fruit on the nose, slightly earthy with some slight bottle stink on the nose. On the palate this is smooth, like molten milk chocolate, full of stewed and slightly bitter fruit but still with the bottle stink flavours showing. Hot and unbalanced on the palate at first, this does give way to a reasonable finish that has a great length. There is some dryness across the whole of the flavour profile from the tannins. This is overly developed for my expectations from a relatively young vintage. 88/100. Decanted 26 hours.
