1935 Sandeman
From an ullaged bottle. Deep honey colour, slightly cloudy. Honey and rosemary nose, a touch of orange blossom - very dusty and slightly dirty with lots of higher alcohols. Sweet and light-bodied palate, lots of orange blossom honey - elegant but very slow in delivering the power of honey and flowers. A flash of volatility on the aftertaste before the long finish of honey and cedar wood. Very oxidised, but very pleasant nevertheless. 84/100. Drunk 15-Apr-15.

S35: pale brown, 15% opaque. Nose sharply acidic. Palate of vanilla and marzipan, particularly light in the mid palate, with honey at the end. Showing its age.
