Burnt ochre in colour, 50% opaque. A harsh nose, acidic and bitter but not horrific. Sweet on the palate, balanced, but rather hollow. A little gentle orange marmalade on the late palate. Big and powerful aftertaste; big finish of great length. Very fine finish. Tough to score because of the flaws on the nose and hollowness of the palate but compensated to some extent by the aftertaste and finish. 87/100.

Fd45. Red-brown, 50% opaque. Palate had big fruit, and toffee. Strange — with varnish. Extra-burnt caramel. DJ remarked “green bitterness”.
